So after hearing from everyone how amazing this show is, I was forced to watch it by my lovely wife last night. Which episode was it? 4, 5, 6, I don't know and I don't really care either. As far as I'm concerned it just reinforced why I don't tend to watch UK based police dramas as the emphasis seems to be on finding cool shots at various modern locations combined with the most hackneyed, ham fisted writing you'll ever see. And this writing is supposedly being praised by all and sundry as a hard hitting entertaining drama?! Hmmm if you say so. Maybe I was just unlucky and the episode that I saw was at the same point in the story as the (initially) excellent McMafia. In regards to McMafia, the set up episodes were glorious especially as they deal with a real life issue, but as all the multiple plot lines converge, or new ones start it all seems to get a bit silly and the story starts to drift.
